Groups of preschool

This is an energetic and joyful age group where the focus is on each child’s holistic development, while respecting their individual pace and unique personality. Through free movement, dance, art, drama and sensory exploration, children enjoy a wide range of experiences that help them discover and learn new things naturally. The combination of music, movement and art helps children develop self-awareness, language skills and coordination.

For young children, it is especially important to touch, observe, explore, discover, understand and try things for themselves. For this reason, this age group places a strong emphasis on learning through the senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch – as well as developing balance and body awareness. Through a variety of age-appropriate activities, children gain new experiences and, together with their peers, gradually become more independent as they learn to walk, talk, dance, stomp, clap, play musical instruments, play, experiment and sing.

Children in this group have a strong need for movement and exploration. They learn to observe, imitate, share, listen and build friendships with one another. At this age, children enjoy socialising, although sharing can still be a challenge. Music and movement activities, exploring musical instruments, mathematics with Numicon, STEAM, drama, art, ceramics, and sensory exploration of letters and numbers help children develop social and sharing skills while deepening their understanding of the world around them. Activities also provide plenty of opportunities to develop both fine and gross motor skills. As children interact with their environment through movement, we incorporate plenty of physical activity and free play into their daily learning. This helps them develop body awareness, build physical skills and gradually prepare for school.
